Through the dark night there is peace
When pain hits, there is still hope and most of all peace. The author gives us passages that we can easily recall during the long dark times when pain threatens to overcome we can change our focus and light comes. Another day dawns and with it hope and strength to endure and live on and serve.

I was not disappointed.
The book delivered what I would have hoped it would -- the lessons learned in the midst of the Refiner's fire that can offer hope to anyone in any kind of trouble. Sound Scripture application throughout, delivered with compassion, yet conviction that God's truth is more true than anything we 'experience.' In Biblical counseling I like to have resources I can recommend to others to study, meditate upon, and apply on their own in the midst of their suffering -- this book is high on my list.

Hope in the Midst of Pain
Think it Not Strange offers hope in the midst of suffering. The author's first hand knowledge of suffering has resulted in a practical application of God's word. All who put her counsel into action will find purpose and fruitfulness even while the journey of chronic pain continues.

Hope in the midst of the storm
Think it Not Strange offers hope to those who are experiencing dark times due to physical or emotional pain. The author speaks from personal experience about how an intimate relationship with Christ offers hope and contentment to those who are suffering. By focusing on the truths of God's Word, readers are instructed on how to find joy and peace in the midst of their difficult circumstances. This encouraging book is a must read for those who are in despair and in need of hope.

A Nurse's Perspective
As a nursing professional, I found this book extremely helpful, not only for those who experience chronic physical pain but also for those who suffer with emotional and spiritual pain as well. Anyone who deals with others in pain or who themselves lives in daily pain can benefit from this book. Janet RN, MA

Finally, the answer to 'Why me God'
After suffering with degenerative bone disease for over 15 years, wondering why God has taken so long to heal me, asking the eternal questions, 'If He really loves me... I pray, read my Bible, try to keep my faith..WHY does God let me suffeer so?' This book took me through the Bible and answered the questions with true compassion and understanding that can only come from having 'been there' This Book reminds the reader that a God of love allows us to be tested, but not beyond what we are able to endure, to accomplish a greater good in our lives. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is either enduring suffering themselves or know someone who is. I came away with a richer understanding of my faith and the God who loves me.
